On Valentine’s Day lovers they give each other flowers and chocolate. We want to give our dear readers something more useful: some recipes for simple yet effective automation rules. See how to make your life easier with Marketing Automation Platform. Without further ado, we invite you to read!
Win back your old sweetheart
He doesn’t ring anymore? Stopped writing? Maybe he forgot? With this rule, you can send a reminding message to all those who have stopped visiting your page some time ago or shopped but stopped. Rule settings:
Events: Contact visited URL (settings: check conditions in 2 months)
Conditions: Contact visited URL (set as did NOT visit for 60 days)
Actions: Send email to a contact (prepare a message that could lure Scrooge McDuck himself)
Alternative version – a client hasn’t bought since 2 months:
Events: New external event occurred – “PURCHASE” (settings: check conditions in 2 months)
Conditions: New external event occurred – “PURCHASE” (set as did NOT occur for 60 days)
Actions: Send email to a contact (tempting email with a discount)
Rescue abandoned cart (full of chocolate)
Someone came into your store, browsed some products and even added them to the cart. And then suddenly he disappeared without completing the transaction. Remind him that he wanted to buy all those cool things with one of these rules:
Events: Contact visited URL (cart URL)
Conditions: Contact visited URL (set as did NOT visit URL – for Thank You Page after the purchase)
Actions: Send email to a contact (remind your client the items waiting to be bought with encouragement to finish the transaction)
Alternative version:
Events: New external event occurred – “CART”
Conditions: New external event occurred – “PURCHASE” (set as did NOT occur)
Actions: Send email to a contact (tempting email with a discount)
Generate and send the coupon for a romantic evening
Valentine’s day isn’t cheap. Every opportunity to save some bread is welcome!
Events: Contact was tagged with (e.g. MALE-CATEGORY-PURCHASE)
Conditions: Contact state (Client)
Actions: 1. Generate a coupon for a contact 2. Send email to a contact (with generated coupon and a picture of mouth-watering dinner for two)
Give some presents… I mean leads
Surprise your sales people and provide them with some fresh leads instead of flowers and chocolate!
Events: Contact visited URL / Contact was tagged with (it depends on your lead routing criteria)
Conditions: Contact is on the stage in the funnel / Contact has a detail
Actions: Draw new owner from users group
Send some ‘Love’ Nurturing
Or lead nurturing, or a drip campaign. Your imagination is the limit!
Events: Contact is on the stage in the funnel (e.g. Education)
Conditions: Contact was tagged with, or Contact has a detail ( the language used in messages). For further messages: Contact opened email
Actions: 1. Send email to a user 2. Send email to a contact (continue sending messages and inform contact’s owner how educated they are already)
And because this automation will save you a lot of time, think of an awesome way to spend it. Happy Valentine’s Day!
