A Perfect Merge for Ecommerce: SALESmanago & Shopify

Shopify is one of the most recognizable ecommerce platforms worldwide.  Its creators wanted to power both online and offline sales at the same time. The platform allows anyone to easily sell online, at a retail location, and everywhere in between. Its features include organizing products, customising the storefront, handling credit card payments, tracking and responding to orders and the Shopify POS application to power retail sales.

The scope of integration:

 

  • share external events PURCHASE and ABANDONED CART for contacts that are logged in
  • share external events ABANDONED CART for contacts that are monitored, but not logged in
  • import purchase history
  • automatically add a monitoring code to a site

 

Contact form integration:

 

  • create new SALESmanago accounts with a special form
  • add a monitoring parameter to contacts that filled in a contact form
  • share signup and login information
  • share contact details (name and surname, email address, telephone number, home address, company, date of birth, date of adding the contact)
  • share contact opt-in/opt-out status
  • manage opt-out status contacts with Shopify
  • send contacts to the database with a tag corresponding to the shop’s name
  • set tags with which contacts are sent to the system if contact form are properly configured

 

SALESmanago – Shopify Integration step-by-step instruction

  1. Go to the integration plugin page https://shopify.salesmanago.com
  2. Enter the name of your shop and click Install. You will be automatically redirected to the Shopify website.
  3. Confirm the installation of the integration plugin by clicking Install app. You will be automatically redirected to the admin dashboard.
  4. Provide your SALESmanago account information. ClientID, APISecret and Endpoint fields can be found in SALESmanago in Settings Integration.
  5. Click Save Owner.
    TIP: The owner can be changed at any time in the Home tab.
  6. The integration is complete. From now on, you can open the app in two ways – either go to its domain, or through Shopify admin, in Apps SALESmanago.
